Non-emergency services closed to hospital health workers after corona infection
Corona infection has been confirmed in eight health workers of District Hospital Sankhuwasabha. After the corona infection was confirmed to the health workers of the district hospital, the non-essential services have been stopped. Medical Superintendent of the District Hospital Sankhuwasabha, Dr. Yogendra Mani Basnet said that the non-essential services have been suspended from today. After the corona was confirmed in eight health workers of the district hospital during the antigen test, the non-essential services have been suspended till January 30.
He said that only emergency service, maternity service and fever clinic will be operated in the hospital from today. According to the District Health Office, the vaccination campaign against corona in the district will continue.
After the third wave of Corona spread in Sankhuwasabha, the number of active members in the district has reached 141. So far, 47 people have recovered. Similarly, District Jail Khandbari has closed the inmates’ meeting till January 31 due to increasing risk of covid infection, said Jailor Binod Adhikari.
The locals have suggested that the scope of corona virus testing should be increased as the number of flu patients has increased in the district due to climate change and cold. Health measures have been called for as coronavirus infections spread rapidly.
