Kathmandu-A meeting between Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel and Ambassador of France to Nepal Gilles Bourbao has taken place at the former’s office. The meeting between the duo focused on bilateral relations and assistances between the two countries.
Reminding assistances by France to Nepal in the extraction of petroleum products and water distribution in the past, the CM expected continuation of such help in the days to come.
Relations between the two countries have been consolidating since the establishment of their relationship in 1949, he said.
Saying that tourism is the base of the development of the province, he expected additional inflow of tourists from France to Nepal amid construction of Pokhara International Airport reaching its final stage.
He also expected France’s investment in tourism promotion and hydropower sector of Nepal.
In response, the Ambassador said that France was ready to help Nepal in its multi-sectoral development. He also pledged to provide assistances on his part for the promotion of tourism of the province and surrounding areas.
